Every time I’m down I always get a word from someone who is totally unaware of my state at that time.  Then, there are people who I call to say hi that end up victims of my rants.  And they listen!  So, to everyone who has provided words of encouragement or listened to my rants, thanks for your encouraging words or listening.  It’s helping me to stay motivated to move forward.

Children under the age of 17 must be at home or accompanied by a parent or guardian 18 years or older after 10:00 p.m. on weekdays and no later than 11:00 p.m. on Friday and Saturdya nights.

Children who are curfew violators often become victims of crime.  Don’t let this happen to your child.

The last print issue of Shorty newsletter was produced this month.  Shorty will be an online resource for the South Side of Chicago effective January 1st.  I’m still in the planning stages.  In the meantime, check out my last newsletter.

The dental van will be at John W. Cook Elementary School on the following dates

November 12th – 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.
November 13th – 3 p.m.  – 7 p.m.
November 20th – 3 p.m.  – 7 p.m.
December 10th – 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.
December 11th – 3 p.m.  – 7 p.m.

The van provides school dental exams & routine exams/cleanings.  A completed consent form, with a copy of medicaid/insurance card must be completed and return to the main office prior to each visit.  Consent forms are available in the main office.  Contact Mr. Wolfe in Room 112 (312) 513-7074.

I had a troubling thought today.  If Bill Gates or Warren Buffet called me today to offer to mentor me, would I be ready?  Unfortunately, the answer was no.  What does that mean? I have very little time to get myself together.

What needs to be done?
1. Think like the billionaire I am.  Not everyone is qualified for the billionaires club.
2. Write like it’s my lifeline.  Actually, it is.  My new motto: Will write for food.
3. Stop planning and start working. I’m creating my to-do list now.

Mr. Buffet and Mr. Gates, I will be ready for your tutelage by the end of this month. I’m looking forward to our meeting.

This adorable Cockatiel needs a new home.  It comes with the cage and food. It’s healthy and FREE!!  It just needs a place to stay.

Mark Victor Hansen & Robert G. Allen

I had the opportunity to meet Mark Victor Hansen & Robert G. Allen, the authors of Cash In A Flash, at a Chicago Social Media Club meeting in September 2009.

I didn’t have a lot of money on me, so I asked Mr. Hansen to gift me a book.  Do you know I received a double blessing? Not only did I get a book, Mr. Hansen told me that “we expect great things!”  What a way to be sent off with a good book!

Well, Mr. Hansen, I am working on those great things.
