I was having a conversation with someone, and he mentioned that he visited homes growing up that had NO books.  I was appalled, even in my old age, because that has never happened in my lifetime.  Granted, many bookshelves were not in immediate view, but every home I’ve visited had a book somewhere.

So, if you have ever visited a home that had NO books, please share your experience.  This is all new to me.

Yes, this is for real.

I started reading the Roller Skating History book, and women inventors are missing from history. Only one was listed. This was interesting.  So, this is yet another opportunity for me. Woo hoo!

I was just wondering. This man could not be in peace on earth, and the media is not allowing him to rest now.

Digressing for a second. What about the graves that have been disturbed at Burr Oak Funeral Home? Ain’t nobody resting – the ones who have gone home or their families. Such a shame.

This was just a thought.

This has been on my mind for a long time, so now I have to ask everyone: Why aren’t Black female teachers honored in movies?

I watched Dangerous Minds and Freedom Writers recenlty (yes, I am a little behind).  While both pretty much shared the same theme about White female school teachers that changed the lives of their inner city students, it was a little disheartening to know that there are Black teachers that change the lives of students every day that are not honored on the big screen.  For many of these women, being in the throes of young people is also a challenge, yet they are overlooked.

Well, I would like to give much love to all Black school teachers who geninuely care about their students, and do all they can to educate in spite of their challenges.  This is only for the teachers that care.  Even though you are not honored on the big screens like other people, you are truly appreciated!

Why do people shop last minute for gifts for annual occasions and observations i.e. Mother’s Day, birthdays, etc?  You know it’s coming up again.  There is no reason why people should be shopping the day before or the day of the event.

Why do people answer their cell phones to tell people that they are going to call them back when they could let the message go to voicemail and then return the call?

Why do people answer their cell phones inchurch or on the skating rink floor?

Why do I watch Judge Mathis and Cheaters?  I’ve got to do some serious soul searching twith these.
