Friendship

I have a friend with whom I had to separate.  Although we are still friends, “they” will be missed.  So, friend, if you read this, just know that you are one of the most precious gifts God gave to me and I feel blessed to have you in my life.  Although our relationship required us to go different ways, there will always be a place in my heart just for you.  Thanks for doing what you do and being you.

I know this is sappy, but I’m feeling sappy – a mixture of sad and happy – right about now. It’s never easy losing a friend even when it’s necessary.

I just NEED to thank three of my greatest supporters of my blogging ventures.  I’ll add photos when I get my laptop back.

First, many hugs go to my girl, Tasha Clopton.  She was with me when I started this thing.  We didn’t know that I would get addicted.

Second, my cousin Tiffani Williams visits most of my sites.  That’s either mad love or she has less business than me.

Third, Sporty King’s support humbles me.  I have much respect for Sporty’s work, and his support tells me that I am doing thangs!

So, thank you all for your blogging support!  Love you lots!

Can somebody tell me why there is so much emphasis on weight loss at the beginning of the year?  I don’t want to sound mean here, but people knew that there was excess poundage throughout the entire year.  So, what is the difference in an exercise program beginning January 1st or August 29th?

And, although I don’t have any statistics at this time, it seems to me that quite a few people fall off from their weight loss programs when they begin at the start of the new year.  I am almost certain that they may be more successful if they started when they felt uneasy about their weight than waiting until the beginning of the year.

Just wondering….

The bible says that “he who has a friend must first show himself friendly.”   I truly believe in the spiritual law of reaping what you sow.  I’d like to believe that I am reaping the seeds of friendship that I sow because I am truly blessed with the most beautiful people in my life.  I’m not speaking of outer beauty, which is fleeting.  They have the most awesome spirits, and are truly caring, honest and trusting.  They are the bestest!!!

I just want to give shouts out to a few of my friends that I cannot thank enough for all that they do.  They really don’t know how much I truly, truly, truly appreciate them.  They are da’ bomb!  I’m not slighting anybody but I just HAVE to say thanks to these people.

Demond is a HUGE support and a sweetie.  He keeps me focused and on point.  He always asks if I’ve completed any writing projects during the course of the week.  He talks about me (which isn’t always nice) if I haven’t, and pretty much shames me into writing.  As much as I don’t always agree with his methods, I thank him for caring.  I told him that I was going to write him a sappy friendship letter, and he told me that he wasn’t my friend.  He only talks to me because he doesn’t have anyone else to talk to on Friday or Saturday nights.  Gotta love him.

Joy ~aka~ JoyJoyJoyJoy is the greatest.  She is a cool support and a great inspiration.  She’s the closest friend I have who is living her dreams of business ownership.  She owns Simply Delicious Catering.  She can cook!  I’m not just saying that because she’s my friend; I’m saying it because I’m trying to get a free meal out of this plug for her business.  Seriously, it’s great to have someone who understands the highs and lows of business ownership; the frustrations of dealing with people; and the rewards of stepping out on faith to work your dreams.  And she always gives me words of encouragement from the heart when I share my accomplishments.  I need her to know, too, that I am proud of her progress even though she doesn’t feel like she does much at times.

Jenny is a blessing.  Her sweet and kind spirit is absolutely comforting.  AND she knows I talk alot and always listens.  She is NEVER judgmental which makes it easy to share with her.  Actually, I wonder if anything gets under her skin because she is always so even-mannered.  She listens to me more than she talks, but I wonder if it’s because I talk alot.  Either way, I’m glad she’s my friend.
