June 2009

I am reading Ask and It Is Given: Learning to Manifest Your Desires by Esther and Jerry Hicks (The Teachings of Abraham) and they said that “if the way you are feeling falls somewhere between (1) Joy and (5) optimism, the Creation Box would be a good one for you to utilize right now.”

This box will include things that you want to include in your experience.  Find pictures of clothes, buildings, travel destinations, vehicles,  images of physical characteristics, whatever.  The authors also advise you to say, “Whatever is contained in this box – IS!” as you drop things into your box.  ”The more things you find for your box, the more the Universe will deliver to you other ideas that match them.  And the more ideas you drop into your box, the more your desire will be focused.  And the more your desire is focused, the more alive you will feel – for the Energy flowing through you is what is life.”

This was totally inspiring to me because I have so much to put into my box including that macbook and the master collection by Adobe.  I am also going to drop in the million dollar check that I wrote to myself, but when it comes to me in physical form, I’m sure it won’t be voided. :)

I am also going to go out on a limb to put the lives of children in the box.  I see them all harmless and alive in my box. I don’t care whose babies they are or how old they are.  One last thing I see my DTV box IS working ok because right now it sucks on a daily basis.

What would you put in your IS box?

When you are are on purpose, you have no worries.  I say this because even though I don’t have a lot of money right now, I will buy things I know will help me move forward with what I have to do.  Actually, with a lot of things in life, money is only an issue when we make it one.  Getting back on point though, I’m excited to be in the place in life I am right now.  I can recall a time in my early stages of business ownership that when people would tell me that I had to spend money for certain things. I wouldn’t do it because I didn’t really believe in myself and in my business.  Now, I can assure you that the Write Design Company will be a writing empire, As NOT Seen on TV will be huge by the end of next year, and Shorty In Da House will be a household name within the next three years.  Yes, being on purpose is a wonderful thing.  A lot of work, but beautiful!

Oh, one last thing though.  For anyone starting any type of business, please know that it does take money to make money.  You don’t have to spend a whole lot (at first), but you do have to spend it.

I was blessed with a brand new Dell computer on yesterday.  My girl called me on last me and asked me about my old computer.  I told her that it works sometimes. She asked me if I wanted a new computer.  Uh, yeah!!!  She said that she would let me know.  So, she called me at 9 something on yesterday morning asking me if I was going to be home.  Affirmative. She said that she would be at my house with the computer in an hour. Do you know she got to me in less than an hour? God is good!!

Now, I need somebody to get overly livid with somebody and give me a macbook pro.  After receiving a new computer out of the blue, I can’t wait to get thta 17 inch macbook pro that starts at $2499 with Adobe creative suite 4 – Master Collection also $2,499. If God will deliver a new computer that I had no idea I was receiving, I am EXPECTING and beliving that my macbook is on the way.

I heard on the news that Michael Jackson domain names were hot on Ebay.  I’m sure that this was not the case prior to his unexpected death.  Anyway, I went to Ebay and learned that people are asking $1 million to $5 million dollars for domain names they paid $10 or less for.  While I am not at all hating (I don’t think), it is a little disturbing to try to profit on that level. How much did they feel he was worth while he was alive? Would these same people had spent $150 dollars for a concert ticket?

Just a thought.

Ok, at first, I didn’t have channel 2.  Now, channel 7 is gone.  My neighbor told me that I have to look for channel 2.  Why do I have to look for something that was already there without something perceived as better?  Digital is definitely not always better.

AND if the signal is weak, I either don’t have picture, sound or both.  Uuuuugh!!!

Ok, my heart is completely broken and my soul cried as I read about a 9-year-old in Brazil who got an abortion after being raped and impregnated by her stepfather.  Read about the Catholic Church’s response to the incident here http://www.time.com/time/world/article/0,8599,1883598,00.html.

I ran across this story as I was looking for the story about the 9-year-old girl in Chicago who was shot and killed earlier this week. I am totally outraged because the story about the Brazilian baby was not posted on the media like it should have been.  I personally had not heard about it, but I don’t watch the news every day like I should either.  But I could have told you everything that was going wrong with Illinois, Chicago and Cook County politics at that time.

How dare the American media totally ignore a story such as this?????? I bet this was about the time the Chicago media was full of Blago and Drew Peterson.  This is a testament to their priorities.  Since we can’t seem to get the media to care about what’s important, can we pray for the safety of our babies, the sanity of their perpetrators, and rightful justice in all of these cases?

The Greatest of My Generation

The Greatest of My Generation

No, I am not experiencing any Michael Jackson sightings like Elvis fans.  I am, however, in total awe of the way Michael Jackson is being remembered on TV and radio. He has even flooded the return results on search engine.  This is amazing.

Singer, songwriter, actor, lyrical genius, dancer, star-performer Michael Jackson left a void in the world on Thursday, June 25th.

In spite of the negatives surrounding this creative genius, his positives – his talent, his creativity, his giving spirit – undeniably outweighed all his negatives.

These are my rememberances of my M.J.:
1. The entire Thriller Album.  I still have my album.
2. The moonwalk
3. His great love for Diana Ross and Elizabeth Taylor
4. Bubbles, his beloved monkey
5. His battle with his race, gender and sexuality
6. Never, neverland – didn’t have a chance to visit
7. He was the scarecrow in The Wiz
8.The moonwalk (I know I said that already)
9. He had a big heart
10. His videos on channel 50 in Chicago.  This is when videos were free.  The reports said that MJ was one of the first African Americans in music video.  I honestly have to say that his Thriller video was the best video I have ever seen. Absolutely genius.

There is more that I can say, but others are already saying it.  So, MJ you will be missed.

I just had to share this picture that my little sister, Tamia, drew for me – Shorty In Da House on roller skates.  The thingie on my hair is my beloved afro puff.  She was right on point.  This is the most precious gift she has ever given me.  I am going to laminate and scrapbook it.
