The Chicago Computer Club was founded by Daniel Wang in June of 2002. By attracting customers with our affordable pricing, we try our best to close the digital divider and help build lines of communication within the community. Thus, we not only repair, but provide rebuilt computers to consumers at a fraction of their original cost.
Seven years and four locations later, the Chicago Computer Club now serves the greater Chicagoland community with new and used computers, laptops and a full selection of accessories for ALL computer needs. Our Microsoft Certified Technicians are now the premier group of computer experts for both businesses and individual computer owners.
Computer Technician Intern Overview
Chicago Computer Club Corp. is seeking student interns interested in contributing to the growth of our technology consulting company and local computer stores. A 3-Month summer internship: This student will work part-time, 15-20 hours a week or full-time 40 hours around their class schedule. Previous, professional computer technical, network administration experience is also helpful, but not required.
Computer Technician Intern Job Duties:
· Work in one of our 4 stores. Report to the store manager daily
· Learn and familiarize with our CCC internal management system
· Diagnose, repair and update customers’ computer hardware and software problems
· Sell new and refurbished computers
· Answer and consult customers’ questions over the phone
· Remotely support customers’ computers
· Provide membership service and information to our customers
Technical Skills
· Interested in pursuing technical certifications including MCSE, CCNA, N+, A+, etc. and career in hands-on computer network technology implementation and consulting.
· Strong desire to improve technical skills.
· A basic understanding of TCP/IP Networks and the Internet
· Good oral communication skills
Education
· Majoring in Computer Science or Engineering
· Certifications including A+, Network+, MCSE is A plus.
